Very important is a home loss of second rankedKahu (7-5) against fourth ranked Queens (6-6) on Sunday night. Host Kahu was crushed by Queens in 95-76 . Tokomanawa Q. made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Tokomanawa Q. had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Horston (188-2001, college: Tennessee) notched 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Stella Beck (183-1995, college: SMC) supported her with 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for N. Kahu . Australian guard Chloe Forster (176-2003) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Whai. N. Kahu at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost.
